Audio Sync Problem

I have a problem where in VideoWave 7.1.1.189 I've assembled a few mpegs and written out a bigger mpeg and the audio is way out of sync (1-2 secs). The audio on the input files is okay and I created the smaller mpegs with VideoWave. I tried DVD Builder but have the same problem.

 

I recreated the smaller videos using MPEG audio (rathert than AC3) and still have the same problem. I assembled the smaller mpegs into a DVD with a Ulead program and that works okay.

 

Any ideas???

The fix is rather complicated and time intensive but it can be done. Read this thread.

Some people are able to Output the production for a DV camcorder ( AVI file ), put that file on a DVD Builder menu and keep the audio in sync.

 

Did you import the files using EMC 7?

I know. However, if I remember correctly, you're importing files of television programs that were recorded on a DVD Recorder.

 

We don't know where these files come from and different solutions work for different file sources and computer configurations.

Thanks guys, I think I'll stick with my solution. My video is a compilation of 20+ years with each year being a production of video clips and pics (less than 1 min) with background audio added. Each year is rendered into its own mpeg (with mpeg audio). I then use Ulead Moviefactory to compile a DVD (18 min).

 

The Ulead product that I have doesn't support AC3 but this isn't a problem.

 

Can anyone say specifically that Videowave version 9 works okay or does it still have the audio sync problem???

I don't have v9 but think I remember hearing it still has the sync issue from someone who upgraded to get rid of it and it didn't work.

The fact is, there is not a program made that will always be free of audio sync issues! You really have to find the combination of source and edit tricks that work for your situation.

 

You can certainly give V9 a test drive and see how it performs for you. Trial Version
