Slideshow Text

I am doing a slide show using the phote slideshow dvd application. What I'm trying to do is have the first slide text only (Introduction) followed by photos. Where is it says change text, I highlight and delete and paste my text info. Then I click new slideshow and add photos. When I priview the first picture is behind the text (small) with letter underneath saying untitled slideshow. Anyone know how I could make the first slide text only. I have the full version of 7.5 but the Photo suite and Videowave are grayed out so I can't use them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you have the full retail version of EMC 7.5 and not one of the other versions that came already installed on your computer, did you install both the program disc and the Contents CD as well ? If so, then when you open up the program from your desktop "Roxio Home" application should come up and Videowave should be one of the program choices you have.

 

For making a slide show, you should be using "Videowave". Once that program is opened and you are in the "Story Line" view, Right click on the slide panel #1. Then click on "Insert Color Panel" on the drop down box. When the color screen comes up, pick a background color you want for your text and click O.K.

 

Now you should see the number 1 panel with that color on it. Now click on the "ABC" Icon and when that screen comes up, pick a font type you want to use for your text. Grab then Drag and drop that font down onto the panel # 1. Now you will see a screen where you can add the text you want. Use the upper right corner box to add the text you want and then click O.K. That should do it.

Thanks Frank. Appreciate your help. But if you want to do a slideshow why wouldn't you use the slideshow application. Yes I bought the full EMC 7.5 retail version from roxio. Maybe I'll try uninstalling everything and then reinstalling. Thanks again. Brian

Which program are you using in EMC 7.5? Are you using MyDVD Slideshow?

No. I just don't have version 7.5 on this computer. I'm going to have to get back to you on if there's a way to add text when I can get access to the computer with 7.5 on it.

I tried the "myDVD Slideshow" in EMC 7.5 once and gave up on it. It is very limited on what you can do with it compared to using Videowave/DVD Builder. It don't believe its possible to have text only menu using myDVD.

Videowave has overlays, several audio tracks all sorts of transitions and effects. For any serious slideshow work, myDVD just is not worth it.

Ok I now have videowave. I used it and my slideshow is now complete. Just one problem. When I went to email it, I preview it first and there are a few skips or hesitations in the audio. When I previewed back in production after finishing the slideshow, this was not the case. Any clues?
