Audio static inuploaded files

Steve111

Question

I added a video clip to VideoWave. Prior to adding, the audio component of the video clip sounded fine but when added to VideoWave, the sound became very corrupted with load static. The original sound still exists (e-mail address deleted to save poster's sanity) in the backround but the static over it is very loud.

Is that a mov file? Sometimes that happens with this program because of the non-standard way some digital still cameras capture the audio. It plays fine in Quicktime but the loud static almost blows your ears off. There are a couple of programs that can do a conversion. One is Sound Soap that comes in EMC 9 Deluxe.

Let us know if the file is a mov file; if not. Try playing around with the acceleration of your audio device via Windows>Start>Run> dxdiag. Go to the audio tab and move the acceleration down.
