Hi ml,i m using Videowave 7 and my video lasts 6 minutes(about 80 panels);i ve purchased the software and it didn t come with my pc.......When i decided to edit a few panels cause i didn t like the previous project( with black & white and sepia effects adding dissolvences) STARTED THE PROBLEMS!

First appeared those strange skinni lines b & white after the dissolvence then when i went to render appeared the Advice Error: There s insufficient available memory to render the production.Try shutting down other application or reducing the number of panels of the production.

Ok now guys i ask you:my computer is very powerful,it s new and first of alll empty......Why when i did those little changes on a few panel happen this?

to mr GGRUSSELL: i ve downloaded wht u asked but...Nothing has changed!

And i was forgetting to tell you guys that often it freezes!

So do you think that we ll be able to fix the situation?

Please guys i don t wanna lose my work!

thank you in advance

i really appreciate your patience for me

thx

Instead of using fancy effects and transitions, why not initially use just a basic transition and no effects to see if it works. Also how much free space do you have on the hard drive and have you defragmented lately?

Version: 91.85

Release Date: April 13, 2007

WHQL Certified

Appears to be the latest XP driver for your card. Get it here.

Also make sure you have the latest DirectX 9.0c update for XP here.

You may need to check if the Quadro cards even support the 3D stuff. Seems like there was someone else had one of these cards and it didn't.

Have you run the graphics test in Videowave? You may have to force it to software render with this card.

Hi mr Russel 8i know that you r like God in this forum),i really appreciate your interest 4 my problem.....

Sorry 4 the stupid question(but i m a rookye here and i m also italian so sorry 4 my english) but i want 2 know what you mean when you ask if i run the graphics test in Videowave?

may I have to force it to software render with this card?

thx a lot and sorry 4 the stupid question

Are you running Windows XP or Vista? (being a new Dell and all)

I ask because 7.5 isn't designed to work on Vista.

Also, if you really want the effects then you could always just apply them in Photosuite and save them as images and replace the image in Videowave with the new B&W/Sepia one. That way you avoid having to use the filter in Videowave which is causing you problems.

Hi i m using xp!My version is VW7!

I think you might have to do a 'workaround' because no one really knows what is going on and causing the lines and freezing.

A bit of explanation first. When you edit in VideoWave, you never change your original video. VideoWave is an editing file that 'links' to your video and 'previews' the changes.

So here's what I'd suggest. Save multiple copies of that VideoWave production by doing a File\Save as..... and giving the productions different names.... ie. wedding part 1, wedding part 2, etc.

Keep the original production file unchanged and work with the copies.

Working with copy 1, view the production until the part where you start seeing the lines ( ie. right after a sepia or b/w scene). Delete the scenes and transitions after the sepia or b/w scenes. Save it.

Still working with copy 1, try a File\ Output production to.... video file, for DVD Authoring, Best. If you have problems rendering that file, let us know what errors you have.

If that works, with another copy, delete the first part, keep the middle until you start having problems, delete the next problem area. Save it, and repeat with the next copies as needed.

You don't have to do a File\ Output production as.... with every production. Once you know that you can render a scene with b/w or sepia, you should be able to just add the VideoWave productions to the final DVD menu.

Let us know what you find.

I have a suspicion that these problems stem from your video card on that new computer. There's a chance that it might have something to do with the graphics accelleration on your computer. You can learn how to adjust it here http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00129.htm

You might want to check with Dell and see if that card supports the requirements of EMC 7 for a video card.

Of course, it could be something else, but I'm stumped.

To do the graphics test, open Videowave, select Tools>Options. check off the box next to Software. See if that helps resolve the issue.

Jess,

EMC 7/7.5 does not have the graphics test. Unless the poster is in the wrong forum

You're right Walt. It does not have that. I failed to notice the thread is in 7/7.5 forum and I just picked up on his question about graphics test. My apologies. :( (The excuse is that I was responding to a series of version 9 issues/threads and failed to notice that this thread is in another forum).

That brings up more questions that I didn't ask......

What version of EMC 7 are you using?

Did the program come with your Dell computer?

Which program are you using to make your production and how many 'panels' (pictures/video) do you have? How long ( in time ) is this production?

Since slowing down the acceleration doesn't work, I'd suggest you go back and change it to the original setting.

Then I'd go back to ggrussel's post and update the driver's for that card and update the Directx with the links he provided. He also suggested that your graphics card may not work with some of the transitions.

I don't know the specifications for the graphics card. I do know that some of the transitions require a graphics card that can do 3D.

Did you check here for graphics drivers?

http://www.nvidia.com/page/partner_certified_drivers.html

btw - you typoed the graphics info: the graphics on the m90 is the 2500 and not the 3500

"512MB of high-performance nVidia Quadro FX 2500M OpenGL graphics (optional Quadro FX 1500M with 256MB memory)"

Gi7ohmy could you explain me better?

BTW my Dell keeps freezing and those lines keep appearing if i put a Transition before a clip with a Sepia or B & W effect!Does anybody could help me??

Could you please provide information about your computer's specifications?

Usually these type of problems are caused by a video card, but it could be something else.
