adding photos to a Movie DVD

johnmcg

Question

I have just upgraded to Windows Vista Home Premium, and have MY DVD 9.0 which is working up to a point, but I have the following problem:

I have loaded movie clips into a project in preparation for copying it to a DVD - that was no problem, but when I tried to add a photo slideshow I could find no way of adding them.

In a previous version of MY DVD I had no problem at all. I have lots of photos on my hard drive, but when I went to the 'Capture/import' screen it would only let me import from my scanner, which is not what I want at all,

Hope you can help.

First, to make a slide show, I suggest you start by using EMC's Videowave program. You can add photos, video clips, text slides, audio, transitions and about anything else you have, and edit any of them there. Then save that program with a name as a DMSM file. Then import that dmsm file into EMC's MyDVD program and then preview, edit and burn to a DVD in that program.

As far as your scanned photos, scan them to a folder on your hard drive, then use them from there in your slide show using Videowave.

BTW, when posting a problem like this one , in the future, I suggest you should post it in the listing of "How To/ Usabilty" forum, not the "activation" forum.

Frank...

When I open 'create DVD, under 'Menu tasks' one of the options is 'add slideshow', but that option only appears for a few seconds then disappears. That is the option that I used to make slideshows in a previous version, and it worked OK.

I have now reinstalled MY DVD, and the program works OK now, I can now add slideshows with no problem. Thanks for your help,

John.

Thanks Jess---I said it and then forgot to DO it :D:)

Frank...

No problem, Frank.

I did something in an earlier post telling the OP to maybe start a new thread as the one he/she responded to is more than a year old. When I came back, the thread had been closed already.
