display probelms

i have mydvd 8, which i have been using without any problems thus far. however, just a short while ago, i was trying to create a dvd and while rendering the video it gave me an error, and i had to start again. now my display looks like this everytime i open the program:

since posting this, i have re-installed directx and my graphics driver. the problem appears to be fixed. i'll have to give it some time and see what happens
