petals Posted June 5, 2007 Report Share Posted June 5, 2007 I made the mistake before knowing of throwing out my easy cd creator & dvd burning software since I was not getting anywhere with it and re-installed my older basic 5.34 just a plain classic easy cd burning version which used to work perfect, only to find out now it will start but after a few minutes ejects the disc and gives me error message cannot get it to work now I have no way to burn my data lost 32. dollars of the newer version , and am thinking that I hope somone has an answer before I have to totally re-install windows its 5 years I had computer never ha to do that now am ll messed up because of newer version which was no good I have windows xp sp2 never had problems before I could not restore computer back to berfore I installed newer version for I foolishly did not create a restore point before I installed that does anyway have a solution ? could use help on this thank you Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You have WindowsXP which has a built in CD burning if you're trying to burn CDs. Can you write a CD with Windows? Sounds like it was ECDC 6, which was called Easy CD & DVD Creator. I have to suspect that running Roxizap, (the link for it can be found in the "Frequent Answers" post) and then reinstalling ECDC 5.x may solve the problem. (Personally, I never "throw out" program CDs I've bought, even if I'm not running that version anymore. Guess it's my packrat nature.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
