sknis
I uploaded a demo video of using the advanced pan and zoom editor zooming in on an object, holding, then panning to another object. then another, etc. You can watch it here. If you are using dial up, caution it is a large wmp movie file.

I've used the advanced pan and zoom feature to focus on different objects in an image, but didn't understand to add two keyframes to each to create a hold. I can't wait to play with it. I have learned from your previous videos as well. Thanks for taking the time to create and post them

The hold is really important to let the viewer really focus on an object.
Eph
Can this be used with slideshows that are created within MyDVD via the "add slideshow" tool? I don't see a way to adjust the pan/zoom in these slideshows. Thanks, Eph
BarryA
Wow! Very professional presentations. My problem is I am using Advance Pan and Zoom to improve a video. The preview shows me what I expect. How do I get the edited version of the video to replace the original video? I've been right and left clicking everything and everywhere without finding the missing link from the Advance Pan and Zoom editor to incorporating the changes in my production. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, BarryA
BarryA
I finally aborted what I was working on, opened a new production, brought in the video by using the Production drop down menu to select Add photo/video. Now the pan and zoom editor is functioning properly, and after I click OK the modified video appears in my production. I'm not sure what I did wrong the first time, but now everything is fine. Thanks for your support. BTW, I'm working with a 60 minute video and size doesn't seem to be any problem. Are you trying to add pan and zoom to a long video? I just tried it with a one minute section of a 10 minute video and it seemed to work OK. Two things, make sure you select OK after you do your editing and clear the proxy files by going to the top menu then tools, options and then clear. Just to try, split the video into three sections. Make the middle section about one minute long or so. Select that section and add the pan and zoom you want (make it simple for now). After you click OK and have returned to the main screen, preview the video from just before the pan and zoom to after. You will probably not see anything at the start but there should be some sort of a jump at the end when the video goes back to full screen. If you see the jump, you have the pan and zoom working. Let us know how it works.
ggrussell
I don't think you can manually edit a slideshow when you created it with the MyDVD wizard. Every time you choose 'edit', MyDVD takes you back to the wizard. One of the reasons most of us prefer to create slideshows in Videowave. You will have more control. Even if you use the slideshow assistant in Videowave, you can manually adjust individual images without going back to the wizard.
