mikiem
hi gang is there a tool to remove roxio crerator 9??thanks coonsanders Not that I'm aware of... I've removed *most* all traces 3 times so far between xp & vista (dual-boot) & it's a Bi*** Vista is hardest because of the need to track down all the EMC9 created folders after uninstall of all related programs [with Dlx version at least, several have to be removed separately]. Remember to look for Roxio & Sonic in the common files folder, under all users in the Users folder, and go through the Program Data folder as well. In the Registry you have a few options I think... Just remove what Roxio points out and hope that did it -- see if Nero has updated or still maintains their Roxio removal app -- delete the main stuff and try one of the registry cleaning programs [they'll try to remove entries that point nowhere] -- manually search for & delete as appropriate keys and values using Roxio, Sonic, Macrovision etc... Hint: the last option can take hours.
gi7omy
It's in Control panel and called 'add/remove programs' You might want to try the Windows Installer cleanup program seeing that Windows Installer is notoriously inefficient at uninstalling
Larry
Or you can also try the "Clean Install" KB article (this ones for XP btw, the one for Vista is linked at the end of it). Just follow all except the last step (which is the reinstall step) if all you are doing is removing it.
