EMC 7 audio out of sync after render

Mission Man

Question

I have used VideoWave often and love it. I have never had this problem until my last project. It is only a 3 minute video. Within it, I have several clips of someone saying something for just 10 seconds, then I cut to a page of text or a photo, then switch to person saying something for about 10 seconds, then to text, etc.

When previewing it, the audio and video are in sync. As soon as I render it, it is out of synch. I even took the 10 second video of the person speaking and separately rendered it. But even that was still out of synch after rendering that segment.

Any suggestions?

OK, they are not continuous files, but different clips from different people. Yes, they are different video files than before (I didn't think about that when doing it). They were taken with my Canon Power Shot digital camera in video mode, so the files are MVI files.

So, I just tested again with files I just made from the digicam and files I just made from video cam. The digicam files are always out of synch after rendering. The files from the video cam are fine.

Any suggestions how to correct this, or will it always be that way with video files from the digicam?

Thanks for your earlier replies.

Are these video files the same type that you've been using in the past?

Is the original video continuous or is it clips from different video? I know that sounds like a strange question, but if the original video is continuous, you might have better luck 'overlaying' the photos or a text photo made in PhotoSuite. If you're using transitions, make certain that they are set to the lowest duration possible.

Some people have luck when they render to a DV AVI file and then put that file on a DVD Builder menu.
