NMac
Hello out there I have just joined this forum and am hoping that someone can help me with the problem that I am having. My harddrive cashed on my laptop a new one was installed the laptop has worked great but would not play DVD'S. I would have audio but no picture, well a friend of my sent this forum to me and I was able to correct the problem. In other words I now have a picture but the audio and picture are distorted, the picture shakes while the DVD is playing and the sound also skips. I have tried updating my drivers but my laptop tells me that I already have the best for my laptop and that there on no better updates for it. Can anyone give a suggestion on this? NMac Ps. I have an IBM ThinkPad 600E

Guest ml
From your title, you're trying to use Media Player and Real Player for those DVDs. You need to be playing them with Cineplayer, Roxio Player or another program like Cyberlink's Power DVD (which comes preinstalled on many computers.) Those programs are made specifically to play DVDs on a computer.

Thanks for the response but I am still a little confused because I didn't have any problems playing a DVD on windows media player before. Question I bought the Sonic Cine Decoder pack 2 because when I put a DVD in windows media player said that I needed a decoder thats why I bought the said above. Is the Sonic Player and Decoder two different things? Why did I not have trouble playing them before? Why is it that my friends can play their DVD's in windows media player or real player and I can't? Thanks for all your insite, Macak Ps. If the programs you mentioned my already be installed on my computer how can I find them?
