newbie needs help with music for dvd slide show

Ok- so I am not at all a pc genius- and I am at a stand still.I am putting together a huge project for our class reunion- and I cannot get much of the music I want to work.

First- I thought if I bought a song from itunes or walmart music, I could use it.I can copy it to a dvd- but not put it on my slideshow.So what do I need to use*(my husbands previously downloaded mp3's work) but they are not the ones i want on here.

Where should I go to get the music then?DO I have to buy every cd with the different songs to use them?I am way confused.Tell me where I can download the music and how to make it work.Lamans terms please I am so lost

Actually, I believe both iTunes and Walmart allow you to create an Audio CD from your purchased music using their applications. No need to buy the CD elsewhere.

None of the frequent users will tell you how to do it because we don't want you know who with DRM issues to force Roxio to close down the forum. Search this forum; there may be some suggestions there from other people. I understand that ITunes has a new service that allows you and use the music as you wish.

 

Good luck, I did a project for our class reunion a couple of years ago. I took the yearbook and put "our" music to it. When I graduated, yearbooks were all paper. Surprisingly not all that may people wanted a copy of it -- free !
