REDWAGON
Would that be a "free" update download, or is it a free "upgrade" only if you have purchased a previous older version ?? I too have used the program for a long time now. Frank...
Guest ml
Would that be a "free" update download, or is it a free "upgrade" only if you have purchased a previous older version ?? I too have used the program for a long time now. Frank... It looks like it's a 'free' standalone version of AdAware 2007 ( for personal use only). REDWAGON
Thanks ml. I downloaded the FREE file and installed it. Brendon
Good to see that doesn't only happen with one company's updates Perhaps you have to wait for the update, Frank Actually, I think it's suggesting you try the 4th button down on the left, since that one is broken. Regards, Brendon
cdanteek
If you are a registered, paid user of Ad-Aware, the free download for the Pro version won't be available until the 18th of June. cd
marlinsinger
You all are welcome. I have been using this and SpyBot for a few years now. Not as an active scanner, just do a manual scan using both on occasion to try to make sure my security software didn't miss anything. I have found that one will flag something, and the other will not flag that, but something else. Even though I did not do a repair on the first to see if the second would pick it up. sknis
I thought I told you lot waaay back about the beta version of that - seems I'm the only one who signed up back then I signed up for the beta version; don't remember which build and had all kinds of problems. I tried to send error messages but couldn't so I binned it. This first production build seems to work fine.
REDWAGON
O.K. on all the wise cracks you guys. Actually I had to really laugh at the cracks that Brendon and Barryware made. And so true too !!! So what I hear you saying is I best just go back to the good old version 6, huh ? I did get it running O.K. and I must admit I do like the new GUI as Jess suggested. Frank...
