i am brand new to this so any help would be wonderful. this program came installed on my dell computer. when i try to use the disc copy it asks me to insert a blank disc in the dvdrw dl drive. the problem is my drive is just dvdrw. i don't have the dual layer option. when i put in a blank dvdr disc and click the red button my drive opens and asks me to insert a dvdrw dl disc. thank you in advance for any advice you might have.

Maybe the program is just telling you that you are trying to put too much onto a single sided disc? It may see that to copy everything you want to that you need a DL disc.

 

What are you trying to copy? Commercial discs cannot be copied. You can put only one hour of best quality video on a disc; up to two hours at reduced quality.

 

Commercial discs are made by a different process so they can have more than 2 hours of best quality video on a disc.
