BDAV Plugin Help

Christopher Wilson

Question

Hey everyone, i was just wondering if anybody else has had this issues. I tried doing a clean install of roxio but it did not solve the issue. I get this error message when i first go to install EMC 9 "The following products are not supported on the current operating system. These products will not be installed: Roxio Creator BDAV Plugin". Is there a patch for this or something?

Does your system support the Blu-Ray video format? If not then there is no point in installing the plugin and that is what the message is telling you.

That's a standard DVD +RW drive - no Blu-Ray support (you'd know if you had a Blu-Ray btw - those babies cost an arm and a leg at the moment)

However - what it won't do is write to DVD-R media

How would i know if i am able to support blu-ray? Heres the drive thats shows up for DVD/CD in my device manager: Sony CDRWDVD CRX310S

Just found out that my system doesnt support blu-ray. Is that why the plugin didnt install or have they been having issues with vista and the BDAV Plugin also? What exactly does the plugin do?

Obviously the plug-in has something to do with the Blu-Ray. Since you don't have Blu-Ray the plugin is not needed and is not installed.
