Audio-could not record result code -43

Question

Trying to make a cd of my music

this is only 2nd disc

since not step by step directions

I saved the first cd after burning it in doc. folder

in data

this new one i made new folder, still see "my cde" there and renamed it,

now i hit burn button and get

"could not record the disc because a file couldn't be found

Result code= -43"

I'm a little confused by the steps you are following.

 

If you want to make a copy of an audio CD then use the Copy window. Toast transfers the content of the CD to a temporary file, ejects the CD and asks you to insert a blank disc, then burns the content from the temporary file to the new CD.

 

If you want to make an audio CD from music files that are on your computer then use the Audio CD format in the Toast Audio window.

 

I cannot think of a reason to use the Data window for any of this.

..me neither. I wish i could get help. How do i start over with a clean slate

(btw:i'm not copying a cd, just dumping some songs from computer to make a disc)

ok.i just deleted it alll and started over. the problem was one song was a mp4, though it shouldn't have taken that if i am doing an audio cd right?maybe i'm wrong.
