Will EMC9 convert quictime MOV files to MPEG-1 MPG files

lsimon

Question

I'm a little confused by all the different programs Roxio sells that have some video features. I've used an older version of EMC for years - I think version 6, mostly just to copy files from my PC to CD and DVD, and for some minor other media file management uses.

I have a bunch of MOV files that I want to be able to put on a site that requires video to be in MPEG-1 format. I'd also like to be able to convert to a smaller file size even if video quality is reduced. The site recommends some down-loadable programs, but these are pretty confusing. I've found the roxio programs have a pretty good experience, so I'd upgrade to this version if it will do what I want.

Will it? Any other suggestions?

You can add a .mov file into VideoWave and output it as VCD disc. This outputs at MPEG-1.Not sure if it's what you need but you can do it.

You can download a trial version of EMC9 and see if it will work for you.
