Successfully Transferring Photos Ex Digi-cam

janeyu123

Question

:) Hi. when I try to transfer 40 of my photos into the Roxio software folders on PC, from my digital camera via USB lead, the last 3 show as the Windows Media icon that you see on Desktop, instead of showing as a picture like the others, and the saving pauses then stops and fails. I have Broadband and Windows XP Home Edition, in case this helps.

Grateful for any help, thanks.

Did you perhaps take a couple of short movies with the digital camera. If these are indeed video, they could show as associating with windows media player files. Just speculating that the import may fail because they are not image files. Can you just copy them to your hard drive using Windows and double click on them or double click on them on the card. A lot of cameras take "mov" compliant files which can be played with Quicktime. Try playing them with that. When you say transfer, what do you mean, import or copy.?
