My system is not all the different from yours and it certainly sounds like a video problem to me. Also, see what your render is set to under Tools/Options. tbrewst
I'm thinking it could be V9.0.88.We know that build is not Vista certified. Some people have it working ok(at least partially),while others can't get it to work hardly at all. There was also another post about mpeg's not working in WMP11 anymore.I'll try and find it. Try looking here for the WMP11 thing.
Jimjim
People got 9.1 by purchasing a new version of EMC 9 suite directly from Roxio, recently. As for your problem, try switching to software rendering in Videowave (Tools->Options). I purchased the 9.1.048 version and did a clean install. Still have the same problems except WMP11 is now still functional and can play mpeg video's. Not a lot of progress for 100$!!

Beerman, Yes of course, I updated the NVidea driver when installing Vista (NVidea driver version 7.15.11.102 - 22/03/07) I suspect that this is not only linked to the video because also on the main screen of EMC9, i do not get a connection to Roxio's web site and when clicking on the link "retry your internet connection" I get the message "Roxio Creator has stopped working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I'm now uninstalling EMC9 and trying to get WMP11 back up running. Any idea's are welcome. I verified already that discussion string but I do not get the same error message (DRM like). I only get the message "unable to set up video objects". I also have seen all these discussions about beeing compatible yes or no so we will not start the same discussion all over again. It seems that some people got a version 9.1 download. Do you know how to get that version?
