DVD Builder Audio Sync

GESYSOP

Question

I was not sure who was causing the problem

now I know, all my videos with Videowave

are perfect, all DVD created with DVD Builder

the sound is out of sync.

So I look for some other program to make

sure if this is the case, and after

making 2 Identical DVDs one with

DVD Builder, the other with DVD Flick.

Again the sound is out of sync on the

DVD created by DVD Builder, while

it is PERFECT on the DVD created

by DVD FLICK.

There are many threads about this if you do a search. There is a solution but unfortunately, mention of one of the programs used in the workaround that I use is now prohibited on this forum so sorry, you're SOL. I'm sure you'll get other suggestions which may or may not work for you (they didn't for me). Good luck!

Ok, I dint know, I guess was no problem since I seen people

taking about Internet Explorer ( another program )

Since Roxio never put a patch, I guess that test

will be good for some folks here.

The reason that you're having problems has to do with encoding and many video editing programs have problems with this. It usually happens with mpeg2 video.

When you edit in VideoWave, no changes are made to your original video. The program 'links' to the original video and previews the changes that you are going to make. So the audio and video will be in sync.

When you put the production into DVD Builder and render the file, the video is reencoded. Since not all mpeg2 encoding is set to a single standard, when it's reencoded, the audio and video can go out of sync.

Some people have solved the problem by rendering to avi files and then putting that movie into DVD Builder. But it doesn't work for everyone. There are too many differences in types of files and hardware configurations for all programs to be successful.

I'm glad you found a program that works for you. Happy video editing.
