MysterWriter
I am trying to copy a LG RC590M Matsushita 50 minute DVD on my MacBook. With only 34 seconds left, I get an error message: An error has occurred recompressing the video. Any suggestions? Thank you.
tsantee
I don't know why a 50-minute video DVD would need any recompressing. Did you use the Copy window? What happens if you uncheck the Fit to DVD box?
MysterWriter
I used the Copy window. I unchecked the Fit to DVD box. I tried buidling a disk image and dropping the video file into it. Nothing seems to work. I get these messages: The file "VTS_01_3.VOB could not be accessed. (Data fork, -36) and Couldn't complete the last command because there was an I/O error (your disc may be copy protected). I am assured this is not true by the person who transferred a mini-video recording to the DVD. Thank you very much for your help. Any other insights would be appreciated. Use the Copy window to duplicate an existing video DVD disc or image file. You also can drag the VIDEO_TS folder from the disc to your hard drive and then select the one on your hard drive using the DVD video from VIDEO_TS folder in the Video window. Click the burn button. If you don't care about keeping the original DVD menu you can choose DVD video as the format in the Video window, insert the source DVD disc and choose DVD with the top button of the Media Browser. Now add what you want from what appears in the Media Browser to the Video window. Next, set up the title description and the menu the way you want and burn a new DVD.
