Is this "fix" for real?

Joel Lodge

Question

It seems I'm not the only one with a Dell/Windows Vista set up who is having trouble with Roxio version 9, especially when it comes to volume and/or editing. I have read in these forums that there is a much-needed "patch" which may be coming sometime in the future, but Roxio's technical support gave me a different fix. They gave me instructions for a clean install, which basically means they want me to uninstall Roxio, then re-install it. These instructions came even after I asked them about the patch I had read about on the discussions forums. Does anyone have an opinion on whether it's even worth my time reinstalling Roxio? Won't I just end up exactly right where I am now. ? Thanks.

You might try a reinstall but it may not change anything. What really may help is the much anticipated patch coming from Roxio. This will update v9.0 to v9.1.

Will this solve your problems? No telling. What it's mainly for is to make v9 Vista compatible. Will it fix some problems?Probably.

Will some remain unresolved?Probably.

Until it actually comes out there's no telling.
