Unable to Write to Drive w/AudioCentral

Recommended Posts

In attempting to record from Easy CD & DVD Creator 6's (Platinum) AudioCentral (either player or editor), The Burn Setup appears, but after doing its magic detections, the burn never takes place. The drive is apparently not detected. It's an HP DVD840 (lightscribe), works otherwise, but not in this case. (It works in playback and record (rip, burn) mode from WMP.)

I'm not sure I ever used it under the present WinXP SP2, but now I need its capability to span CDs.

I've already applied all updates. Cannot reinstall because "the program is already uptodate".

Thought perhaps rebooting would resolve issue, but no.

Any suggestions?

I would suggest you use the search function (upper right-hand area) and put in "retrieve" without the quotes, and read some of the frantic posts by people who have used disc-spanning. :(

You might want to change your mind about having anything to do with it.

Is the drive detected when you use other programs in Roxio. ie Creator Classic?.

Is this a new burner? if no did it work ok the last time you used it.

If you Internet Explore 7 installed roll back to IE 6 also WMP11 causes problems also, so roll it back.
