If any one knows the procedure please let me know. AFAIK files are transfered from cable or sat dvr's via firewire or possibly USB. I'd suggest googling for the exact procedure and requirements based on dvr model numbers (I know some cable dvr's have specific firmware necessary). That's going to be a thing of the past since no one is allowing you to burn tv to dvd (or at least trying to make it so). You might try the videohelp.com forum for some answers.
