Freeware Audio Editor?

malleable

Question

Hiya.

I'm using Toast 8 Titanium to burn music, data, etc., though it's obviously not a good program to edit audio tracks with. Is there a good one out there that will normalize, cut, paste, etc., audio tracks? I tried out Amadeus Pro, which is really simple and easy to use, but it needs to be registered. I don't have a problem purchasing it, though if there's Freeware out there already that does the same thing, then I'd like to try it out first before I spend the money on Amadeus.
