right ok, updated all drivers and reinstllaed the software again from CD i was given, still not worked, my specs are below:

1024MB 533MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x512]

Windows Vista 32-bit Operating System

Intel® Viiv™ Pentium® D 925 Dual Core Processor (3.00GHz,800MHz,2x2MB cache)

Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3000

160GB (7200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive with 8MB DataBurst™ cache

Dell™ 19" Value Flat Panel (SE177FP) - UK/Irish

16X DVD+/-RW Drive

Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3000

Integrated Intel® Pro 10/100 NIC

Memory Card Reader, Mouse, Keyboard

I would suspect nothing is wrong. Mostly likely the 'full' version is there, but it reads a "DE configuration file" and then disables some features.

So what do i do to solve my problem, thanks

Richard :)

Judging by the bottom of those images, you have MyDVD DE which is a version that came with your Dell computer.

Vista or XP?

There are a couple of things to try:

1) Update the drivers for your video card from the Dell site and update DirectX from the Microsoft site.

2) Switch to software rendering in via tools>options menu.

3) Re-install the program; you may have to talk to Dell about this.

By the way, if you put your computer specs in your signature via My Controls at the top of the page, you will get more targeted responses. Please include your video device (card/chip) in the specs.

Steve - you pointed out the task bar. Unless someone has come up with a really close Vista Theme for WinXP, I would say he's using Vista. ;)
