Roxio creator basic error

Hi all i got some kind of problems with Roxio burning software when i try to run "roxio creator basic" i see info "roxio has stopped working", but when i run roxio express labeler or mydvd basis v9 it work fine. When i tried repair install with windows installer i got that command or "fatal install error"

Try a clean install first: http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/Creator/000127CR

If that doesn't help, you may have an issue going on in windows which you may be able to find by poking around, or in a worst case scenario you may have to reinstall windows as the above poster did.

I have a new hp media center pc m8047c with roxio basic creator 9/mydvd basic 9 and I had problems with mydvd9 basic opening I would not get an error just the screen would go blank but the program would not open. I purchased the full version from costco to see if it fixed my problem but no luck, I returned to costco for my money back. I talked with hp tech support they finally told me I needed to do a full recovery( wipe the hard drive) after that everything worked. PS I made the recovery disks when I got the computer but HP tech support said some of the stuff needed might not be on the disks I made so I had to order the recovery disk from them ($15.00) so I used the hp disks and everything worked right after that. Eventually I will purchase the full blow version.
