mruizcpa
I had a drive crashed and I am installing all the programs in another drive. I have to versions of Easy Cd & DVD in two computers (Basic & Platinum). The re-installation is for the Basic one. Once I made the re-installation (it was working, however no key code was requested) it seems that I applied the downloaded updates of the Platimun version to this one, the program refused to run stating it is an illegal installation. No mater if I try to register or what, it does not run. I tried uninstalling using "add or remove programs" feature of WinXP, but the problem does not go away. Is there a way to make a clean uninstall? Or you have any recomendation?

mruizcpa
That was fast! I'm away from computer, tell you if works when get on it. Thanks Ok, re-installation did work. Disk copier does not run because of" Disk copier could not detect any supported recorders". DVD Creator and drag-to-disk looks good. Any idea? lynn98109
If you disable Drag2Disc, does DiscCopier work then? BTW - Packet-Writing (Drag2Disc, Nero's InCD, Sonic's DLA, etc) is a great way to permantly LOSE files. It may be ok for moving files where you can't use a Flash drive (aka Thumb / Jump / Keychain / Pen drive) or External Hard Drive and the orignal is safely on the orignating computer, but mostly I'd suggest avoiding it. Lynn No, I does not help. And DVD builder that seemed to be working, does not recognize the recorders when you press the burning button.
Brendon
Drag to Disc will not cause Disc Copier (or Creator Classic) to loose recognition of a CD/DVD burner. Have you updated the Basic which you installed from your CD? I can't tell where you are in the pyramid because you haven't told us your Basic version number or your drive's Drive ID, but during the life of version 6 there were a great number of drive models manufactured which weren't recognized by the original software. Updaters were published by Roxio to add or correct features in the software, and they also published a DriveUp patch (which is offered on the updates pages at Roxio.Com) which added recognition for most of those new drives. If your drive is one which needed the updater(s) before then you'll need to apply them again with this new installation. Regards, Brendon

Regards, Brendon I was working with the basic unupdated installation, however I got a DVD burned even with drag-to-disk running. I still have the issue with CD-RW. I will update my programs and post to the poll if the problem persists. Thanks.
