SS Scott
so fresh install may be needed. in the interim, you could just try to output an ISO image instead of burning directly to disc and then burn that image file to DVD using something like the free IMGbrn software. if IMGbrn doesn't find your drive(s) then you are going to need that fresh install... PrinciplePictures
After setting up a show, I press burn and message comes up: "No valid recording device can be found." Anybody have any ideas? I am having this same issue, and it came out of nowhere. Working one day, error message the next. My drive works fine with all other burning programs. I can't seem to find answers on this anywhere. Does anybody have any ideas???

pmelaragno
What is your drive? You just said 'my car won't start' and ddin't even tell us what make it is HP 8200 3.4 Xeon. The drive in question was a HP 640c. The problem seem to occur after I upgraded the firmware for that drive. I was told by HP the solution was a fresh re-install XP. I would really like not to have to do that! Instead, I tried to find the previous version of this drive firmware on the net but no go. I then removed the HP 640 and installed a new SONY DRU-830A drive, but the same problem.
