GateFan
Need help. Newbie to Videowave. When I try to burn my project, the program will not recognize my writer drive. The help files instruct to use a dvd-; my writer only burns dvd+. After trying, not sure if it's a coincedence, my regular burning program, RecordNow will not recognize the drive either. I have no problem playing discs in the drive. Since then I've also backed up files from Itunes with no problem. So I guess my question is, will VideoWave only burn to dvd- discs? Could my attempt have messed up RecordNow?

GateFan
If Roxio won't recognize your drive try this I fixed the problem. Since all my burning software was fine BEFORE I installed VideoWave, I figured it had to do with the program. I used "Roxann" on the help page, typing in the exact error message: "no compatible recordable or rewritable devices could be found on your system" Boy is she smart. Roxio installed a filter that was causing the trouble, and Roxann provided the fix. Thanks so much Terry for getting back to me so quickly. I did have that other problem once, apparently my computer doesn't like Memorex CDs.
