Easy Dvd Creator 9/ Dell dimension E521/Windows vista, don't mix

slowfingers

Question

I didn't know how to delete my previous posting so I am rewriting it. Since my last posting, I returned my Dell Dimension E 521 back to the Walmart store where I bought it. No more windows vista for me. I ordered a Dell Dimension E 521 from Dell with the windows XP version. The problem is not so much with Roxio but instead with the compatibility problem with Windows vista. My appologies if I offended anyone from my last posting. Computer problems make the horns come out of my head.

"…compatibility problem…", is a pretty vague description!

You failed to mention what specific version of Roxio you have as well as which version of Vista???

There are some that cannot seem to get the 2 to work right, but for the most part those with the Dell OEM version of V9 only need to apply the fix for the DLA error to get things going.

This particular area of the forum you posted in is specifically for the Retail Purchased version of Easy CD/DVD Burning which comes in a Red Box.

Hi James,

I just returned my new computer with windows vista back to the store where I bought it. I went back to XP. Roxio will work fine in XP. I edited my previous posting.

And if you want Roxio to know, you need to contact Customer Service.

Explaining your feelings to the people who answer here - people who have bought the product and been helped and are trying to help others - isn't going to accomplish the objective of contacting Roxio management.

Hi Lynn,

I edited my previous posting. You're right. I was expressing my anger in the wrong direction. I went back to Window XP.

Sooner or later you and I will own Vista…

Sorry for your frustrations but I am glad to see you found a solution.
