After testing out the Sony BDP-S300 and finding it is not designed to play BD-R or BD-RE - I looked up the instruction manual for the new Panasonic DMP-BD10A and it states clearly that it will not play BD-R,RE v1,2.
What gives? So the new generation Blu-Ray players will not play BD-R or BD-RE period. This does not look good for those of us wanting to play our projects on the new generation players that more people will buy (lower price point). Is most of this politics regarding content protection and piracy?
