Error 80004005

David NOR

Question

I also get 80004005 encoding error with Roxio Easy Creator 8. The strange thing is, it worked up until March. Then when I tried again in June, I get this error on all my DVD projects. I hav uninstalled Easy Creator from my computer, removing all SONIC and ROXIO folders, both program file folders and user folders, Furthermore, I also delted all SONIC and ROXIO folder in the system registry. When making a clean new installation, I still get the same error. It is just before I will purchase Pinnacle Studios (www.xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx) !

Unless somebody can give me a solution.

Wonder if Roxio coded the software so it won't work after June 2007. I see all the postings here are made in June 2007, and I first experienced this problem in June 2007 !

You may find this helpful.

Sorry, the patch doesn'r work.

Did you update your IE to 7 recently? If so, try rolling back to IE 6. IE 7 will cause a number of programs not to work correctly in XP.

Have you also tried updating your video drivers, that sometimes helps. Make sure you get them from the mfg website (like ATI and Nvidia), not thru MS updates.
