Your Trial version has expired ?

Question

I recently installed the cd software, but after a few sessions it tells me my trial software is finished and refuses to load. :angry2: The strange thing about this is that I purchased it at a store and registered it as well. I have never seen software that does this. I recently installed xp service pack 2 and run Norton win doctor after installing software to clean up left over files. I can re-install it but it does it again....what could be the cause of this? :(

Hello,

Norton's registry cleaner wrongly interprets a particular Roxio registry entry as a broken registry key, and deletes it. An uninstall/reinstall of the Roxio software should replace that registry key and make the software work again.

Does a working installation 'expire' if you DON'T delete registry keys with Norton?

Brendon

Thanks for your reply Brendon,

I was thinking that the nerton :P whinn doctor was the culprit. I am at another computer now. I was noticing that there was some unknown registry stuff left behind that I deleted, some 123xyz-bla bla bla stuff you know.....:glare: I stopped using the whinn doctor after the last install and was going to keep an eye on the results  You have confirmed what I was thinking....THANKS!!!!! Sorry about the repeat of your message ,I hit the wrong key :P I'll keep you posted...

Thanks Again,
