Burning a CD contains unwanted extra files

I'm having a problem where I start a new project and want to burn only a single file to the CD and the CD ends up with two additional files that I did not select, and are totally unrelated to the file I want to burn.

I've erased the disc, started with three brand new completely wraped discs, erased every disc before I burn and yet these files still appear on the CD even though they aren't in the project.

I've turned off 'Automatically Import Previous Session' on the CD Project Properties every time I've gone to burn the disc, but for whatever reason something in EZCDC5 is re-importing the files from somewhere.

Where would this setting be stored so that I can turn it off. I'm at the point where I'm about to completely uninstall the application and go to Nero, except the user is comfortable with EZ CD Creator and his learning curve would make me cry if I had to switch him to a new program.

they're excel files from some other CD's he's burned a long time ago. Two different files from two different CD projects.

The file we're trying to burn now is an access database but is not related to these other files at all. We can burn the file from another computer to get the disc sent out for now, but any project I burn has these two excel files on it like they are somehow stuck in some session somewhere in roxio but I don't see them in the project setup, only after the cd is burned

It's possible they are in the cache somewhere and are being called out.

Try saving the access copying it to a temp folder and use Creator Classic, bring that in and save it as an image file and check if the Excel files are in that (you can open image files with CDRoller or Isobuster trial versions (you just can't work with the files on the trial version) and that should let you see if the extraneous files are still being imported

I'm just burning the file from Roxio EZCDC I'm not doing anything from within access. Here's how it goes. I opened the database, found the table I wanted to send to the other location, exported that table into a new blank database file on the desktop. Closed Access, all other programs are closed. Opened Roxio, Browsed within roxio's interface to the desktop drug the file to the CD, clicked record.

It's really straightforward and simple burning, I'm dumbing it up to make it seem as easy as it is. There is something happening in Roxio which is bringing in these files from either some old project or setting, but there are no saved projects anywhere that I can see on his computer that would be doing this.

At this point I'm gonna go uninstall roxio cause it's not worth this much of a headache.

Turns out it wasn't roxio at all, I searched the hard drive after logging in as my administrator account on his computer and searched all the hidden files and folders and came up with the location of the files on his hard drive.

turns out Microsoft was being extra helpful. In his profile was a folder called CD Burning which had the two excel files in it.

path to the folder was:

%userprofile%\locals~1\Applic~1\Microsoft\CD Burning

Apparently anything in this folder nicely gets added when a CD is being burned even when the Application burning the CD isn't aware of it, because the details of the burn showed every time only 1 file being burned and somehow I would end up with 3 files on the disc.

Thanks Bill, I still love Microsoft but #$^@ do you have to be such a pain in my a$$ with this obscure stuff =(

Thanks for trying to help everyone, hopefully this thread helps someone else one day.
