Could I get feedback from those that have taken advantage of the many email offers from Roxio to upgrade to EMC 9.0 Deluxe. How long did it take to receive your order? Naturally it goes without saying I am asking about the boxed upgrade, not the downloadable version.
Despite my negative comments in other threads about Roxio's lack of focus on customer service/satisfaction, I went ahead and ordered the upgrade online on June 12, 2007 - that was two weeks ago as of today. It is still showing as "In Process" when I check the status. It is not rocket science to 1-pick up the item, 2-put it in a shipping box, and 3-ship it. Even on a bad day where everything is going wrong, this should take around 30 or 40 seconds to complete.
I have submitted a request to customer service asking for information about when it will ship. I hope to God I do not receive Roxio's infamous "soon" response.
I am trying to work with Roxio and use their product (otherwise why would I buy the upgrade) despite their efforts. However the operative words in that statement are "...work with..." implying this is a joint venture - Roxio offers me a product, I buy it, they ship it. I have done 100% of my part, Roxio has done only 50% of theirs so far.
I am not trying to knock Roxio, I am just eager for my new toy and I want to try it.
