An Error has occurred...

I'm a new Mac owner so maybe I'm missing something obvious here.

 

With Toast 8 I've been successful burning DVD's from iMovie creations but I'm now trying to burn a VIDEO_TS folder from my HD and I'm running into the same problem every time. After hitting the burn button the screen minimizes and starts but it fails immediately with "An Error has Occurred Re-Compressing the Video". I can burn with no problems if I reduce the video items to fit on the DVD but if compression is called for it fails immediately.

 

I have a Mac Pro with 5gig of memory and I'm using Apple's provided Pioneer DVR-112D drives.

Is the VIDEO_TS folder have all the content that was in the one from the source DVD? In other words is anything missing that the IFO normally would be pointing to such as a deleted title? If so, Toast can't work with it. If this was a ripped DVD you must use full disc extraction.

 

If that isn't the problem here, let me know and I'll try a different theory. More info on the source for the VIDEO_TS could be helpful.

I used Mac the Ripper to create the VIDEO_TS file. Nothing change on default settings. The burn dies almost instantly.
