End Action from title is ignored

CrashnBurn

Question

Hi,

Can't find anything quite like this one on the forum. Intro title to main menu, select from 6 buttons. Takes you to 1 of 6 short titles then END ACTION should take you to 1 of 6 menus... but it doesn't. It goes back to the main menu in simulation and burned disc (SD DVD). The end action setting appears to do nothing?

menus are photoshop layers with motion and sound on top. I work with elementary video & audio & am just using standard DVD mode.

Seems a really basic problem - anyone else had an end action ignored problem and solved it?

click on a button in your menu (in the design window). you will see that the attributes window becomes a "button attributes" window. at the bottom of that button attributes window is a little check box that is entitled "return to menu". if checked, that overrides your end actions. unchecked, your end actions should work properly.

Aha! Never noticed it before, Thankyou very much! :)

Go into the search (top right on this page) and type in end action, you will find the answer there.

Yes I tried that earlier... I guess you mean the answer to Pheral's highlight button query - I'm not trying to highlight or force anything. I just want the end action of a title to link to the menu I select. If this is related to my problem, stuffing extra unwanted menus wont really work for me - the titles and the menus are all loops - it will look awful.

If the answer I'm after is in here somewhere please make it more obvious to me - I have looked honest!
