My Dvd Won't Run

I just bought a Canon camcorder and it came with MyDVD. I loaded it and when I double click the Icon it sounds like to hard drives spools up but it never starts. I deleted the program and reloaded it three times and nothing has changed. Why doesn't it turn ?

Do you have any outher type of burning software that may be conflicting??

Do a check for spyware using at least 2 different programs and see if that helps.
