webb95 Posted February 18, 2006 Report Share Posted February 18, 2006 Hardware: Mac Mini OS X 10.4.5 1Gig RAM 40Gig HD Superdrive Matshita DVD-R UJ-845C Toast 7 7.0.2 Purchased last week from buy.com Burning a data DVD has never worked Each time I try to perform a Mac-only spanning backup of my files to DVD, I get the following Sense Key/Code Sense Key = ILLEGAL REQUEST Sense Code = 0x30, 0x05 CANNOT WRITE MEDIUM - INCOMPATIBLE FORMAT I tried burning at Best Speed, 4X and 2X with the same result. iDVD works fine to burn 2 hour movies to the same DVD media. Mac Mini passes the Apple Hardware Test suite. This error occurred with the version of Toast right out of the box and after upgrading to 7.0.2 This error occurred with OS X 10.4.4 and after I upgraded the Mac to OS X 10.4.5 Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!
