I have an HP Media Center m7334n with an HP Super Multi DVD burner(DVD Writer 840b). It came with Sonic Media Home and My DVD Plus. CDs and 4.7GB DVD-R & DVD+R burn fine, but Dual Layer DVDs do not. The drive is rated for 16X single and 8X dual layer.
Every time I try to burn a 8.5GB DVD, no matter the type(data or video), I get an error either right at the end of the burning process(video) or when doing the disc verify(data). The first few times I burned duals everything went fine, but not anymore. I get this error everytime.
I have already tried updating the firmware of my device(currently IMA6) and I still keep getting this error:
I tried every brand and speed of disc and I have even tried buying and installing Roxio Easy Media Creator 9, but it still refuses to burn duals. Any advice? Thanks!
