Problem with chapter markers

vitop

Question

Is anyone having a problem trying to add chapter markers? I have one very long file and I am just trying to add some chapter markers so I can reference them in the menu. All I get is "You can not add a chapter point here. It is too close to another chapter."

It does end up adding a second chapter point, but not where I tell it too. It puts it about 30 seconds from the first one (I wanted it about 1.5 minutes away). It then will not let me add any more markers at any point. It will not let me move the chapter point that it added (the one that it did add in the wrong place.)

Very frustrating trying to get anything done.

this is a video specific issue with an AVC asset. vitop imported another file and was having no such issue. currently, there is not support in DVDit Pro HD for AVC and VC-1 streams.

This is a stream that was off of a camcorder is encoded in h.264 codec.

I just gave up trying to insert chapter markers (I can do it with Premier though). So I just asked it to burn a blu-ray image so I could burn later to a disk. It fails doing that also. It gets past all of the transcoding but then says that the process was cancelled (I never cancelled it). It just keps happening. Can't write markers to it, can't burn an image. I also tried to burn another image using a mpg2 file same error. Wish I could get my money back on this thing.

A correction. I meant that Encore (the authoring program from Adobe) was able to add the chapter markers. It is in the middle of writing a blu-ray image now. I have no idea if it will succeed. No luck with DVDit.
