Silly question!

These discs, do they fit in regular stand alone DVD players? My player senses a DVD and draws it in, seems unlikely that it will recognise and seat one of these mini discs. Hope I explained that OK.

At least in a PC you physically place the disc on the tray.

Also any problem transferring or copying these disc to regular sized disks?

I don't know if they'll work in the DVD player. You might want to check the manual or the player's manufacturer's website support.

As to transferring.... that depends on what you want to do. A straight disk copy should work. However, if you want to edit the video, it would depend on what format the movie was recorded in. If it's mpeg2, that should not be a problem.

I don't have one to try, but my DVD players both have the smaller disc depression, inside of the depression for the regular DVD's.

Mine all have the 3" mini DVD in the tray, including a 2002 JVC model. All play them fine if the camera uses the correct format and closes the disc.

Yeah, but he doesn't have a tray.

It's one of those players that only has a slot where you insert the DVD.

I'd sure check with the manufacturer of the player before I inserted a 3" DVD.

Good translation ml, good thing you speak missing language.

Yes indeed, someone spoke here of a DVD Rom they had, with a slot load not taking irregular shaped disc's.

LOL.

Actually, if I hadn't been helping my neighbor with her computer that has a DVD-ROM drive that just has a slot, I probably wouldn't have caught this. Darned thing makes me nervous every time I put a DVD in the slot.
