How to lock tracks

I want to add pictures/video to the beginning of my existing video but while the video track moves to accommodate the added imports, neither the music nor narration track move.

 

Can someone tell me how to lock the tracks without inserting them into the internal track?

You can't, without putting them on the internal track, unless you make a separate production of the pictures and videos you want at the beginning, then outputting them as an .avi file, in VideoWave.

 

You can thing bring that new .avi file into VideoWave at the beginning of the production with the movie and narration stuff.

You can, of course, in timeline view, drag the files showing in the external tracks to start later to coincide with the video they should sync with (expand the time line for accurate setting).
