John893
I installed a Sony DVD+RW -RW +R -R...... I have Easy Creator 5.3.5.10 It records CD no problem, but it gives message " No Supported DVD-Recorders Were detected". Tried Nero and it worked fine... I prefer Roxio though. Tried all that Updating FIRMWARE and PXENGINE to no avail. Even did the editing in the register. (which never showed the recording tab in the properties of the CD-Rom as discribed in the instructions) So since I can't get that old software to work on my XP Version of Windows. I'm open to suggestions as to what Version of Roxio I should get.. I only need to do DATA FILES, not much on MEDIA stuff. It has to be able to Burn CD-R and DVD+R. Just want the simplist one that Roxio has to offer. I read the info on the Products, but they don't mention much about DATA FILES.
Larry
If you're not looking at doing any video work, then you may only want to look at the RecordNow choices. Either of them would do data discs for you. http://www.roxio.com/enu/store/cddvdburning.html
John893
Thanks, I didn't think I needed the Creater 9 Suite, just wanted something comparable to the Easy Creator 5. Liked it's format, even though Nero works well, I don't care for the format. John
gi7omy
Hunt round on Amazon or eBay for EMC 7.5 which should do what you want Actually, anything from 7 upwards uses the drive firmware to tell the program about itself rather than using a database
