Turboturtle
Every time I try to burn a cd I get a "creatorc.exe" error sig. I never had this prob. with earlier versions. IE 6,IE 5, IE4 etc. it appears no one can give me an answer. I recently purchased this software at Staples and do not consider $30 a cheap piece of software. I have had no help from the "support people" at Roxio. Maybe some one knows the answer I seek. If it is not compatible it should state that this software does NOT work with IE 7. I'm frustrated as HELL!!!!!!! Turbo

lynn98109
We've had mixed reports whether V.6 can play with IE 7. IE 7 makes changes deep inside the Operating System, and derails a lot of software that existed prier to its appearing on the scene. (And I think the box may have been printed before then, too.) If you contact Customer Support, it is possible they may consider the newer Version of the "red box" Version - but be certain your computer can meet the specifications, which are a LOT higher. Otherwise, as Paul suggests - consider rolling back to IE 6. It seems only Microsoft finds it to be "critical" to update to IE 7. Lyn
Turboturtle
I did remove the program and downloaded some freeware namely"CDburnerXPpro" it works like a charm. I then reloaded "from the makers of Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 #1 selling CD & DVD Burning Software" and I got the same error again. How in the world can freeware outperform roxio software???? Other than this problem my computer works great. Never again.

Other than this problem my computer works great. Never again. It's possible that the problem is something other than Internet Explorer 7. If you're interested in uninstalling it, the links to the Microsoft instructions are here: http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=23162 Does the box say that it's compatable with Internet Explorer 7? There is a lot of software still on shelves that are not compatable with Internet Explorer 7 or Vista. Many people have computers that need the software to run on computers that they cannot or do not want to update. Reading the system requirements of a program is critical. Microsoft changed Internet Explorer 7 and Vista so that many 'older' programs will not run with them installed. Since you just bought the program, you still should be entitled to customer support. gi7omy
Just as a fyi - Windows Media Player 11 causes the same problems as IE7 - so if you installed that as well as IE7, you will hjave to remove it as well
