Native audio mute in timeline

grannysharon

Question

I copied a home movie into our computer from a DVD which was converted from VHS on a Philips recorder. Then in Explorer I changed the extension of the video files from .vob to .avi . Playback in Windows Media Player was fine, but when I opened the video clip in Roxio EMC 7.5 Videowave, the audio cannot be heard. Tried selecting “Native Audio” in Show/Hide Audio, but still mute. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You changed .vob to .avi? Do you mean .mpg?
