Building Data Discs using Creator Classic R9

Every time I try to create a data disk, Creator issues the following message when the first file is loaded to disk: "Please insert an appendable data disk and continue." It then ejects the disk from the CD burner. Roxio tech support has been ineffective in resolving this. I have already gone through the clean install procedure, but it had no effect. Any ideas would be welcome.

IF you have not formatted the disc prior to using, the problem is your burner.

 

The only time you format optical media is for packet writers like Drag to Disc. Since that is the most unreliable form of burning ever devised, very, very few folks ever mess with it! However, once a disc is formatted for D2D, it is unusable for all other forms of burning!

 

Check with the burner manufacture for a firmware update. That should clear up the problem.
