I bought EMC9 a few hours ago. Installed the software on my Windows Media Center PC (XP SP2). During the install it said it will uninstall Sonic labeler. I chose Yes. After the install it asked me to reboot the machine. I did that.
Now the PC does not boot. It comes to the screen where it shows Windows XP and a below that a bar scrolls from left to right. It stays there forever. I turned the PC off and then tried to boot it in safe mode but that gets stuck too. I do have a recovery disk, but that was created long ago. I don't want to use it unless there is no other alternative.
How do I recover from this situation? I was so happy with this computer before I installed EMC9. Now I wish I had never bought and installed it. Now I am stuck.
Did anyone else experience the same? Is there a way to recover from this problem?
