saving splits

bobstripower

Question

Just spent the last few hours splitting a video of home movies(the movie is under an hour).Saved 10 splits, each one saved as a dmsm file. When i go to import them into a VW project that already has 200 still pics,i cant just grab them and drop them.Did i save them in the wrong format--i hope not.Any suggestions would be very welcome--the party Im using them at is Friday--thanks much--PS im using 7.5 and have made many projects before, but never used spilts.

You can't import them into a VideoWave project. You'd have to do a File\ Output video as.... and if you're going to make a DVD, you can make them into a Video File for DVD Authoring\ Best. Then you can drag and drop each of those new movies into your production with the still pics.

OR you can import the VideoWave files into a DVD Builder project. Add the first title that you want in the storyline, then click on that title on the menu and choose "Add to title". That will put it on the storyline in the DVD Builder production.

The advantage is that it is easier to assemble all those productions in DVD Builder. The disadvantage is that it will be more difficult to edit in DVD Builder.

as usual, good advice and it worked perfect.I just rendered them as a video file one at a time, then dragged them into VW.The whole thing turned out very nice--never did multiple splits before spread out amongst stills with multiple audio tracks.I know Roxio has its issues, but im very happy with mine--as my Irish dad would say, knock on wood.
